About

Who we are and why we do it

Developing future scientists requires engaging, hands-on learning. Bio-Community is the BayBio Institute’s science education and outreach program that brings industry expertise and resources together to positively impact science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in the region’s K-14 classrooms. Our members are BayBio companies and Northern California educators committed to improving STEM education. Our goal is to provide a central site where life science employees and companies can identify and volunteer for STEM education activities, and educators can connect to industry and community resources, including volunteers.

Bio-Community provides an opportunity for students and educators to engage in career-inspiring STEM activities, and for life science professionals to “give back” and have a significant impact on the next generation of life science innovators. Please join us in building the Bio-Community!
